Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro and the PL party's presidential candidate, confirmed on Thursday (24), in a social media post, that he and his family flew in January 2025 on an executive jet managed by a company of banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of the now-defunct Banco Master. The trip was revealed by the magazine piauí and confirmed by g1, Globo's news portal. Bolsonaro said that at the time he believed the aircraft belonged to his friend Willer Tomaz, a lawyer who was also on board.
The flight left Fort Lauderdale, in the Miami area, at 12:15 p.m. on January 19, 2025, and landed in Brasília at 8:01 p.m. On board were Bolsonaro's wife, Fernanda, the couple's two daughters and Tomaz, a lawyer who has been cited in federal police investigations into improper discounts on INSS payments, Brazil's social security benefits. U.S. customs records show the senator had entered the country on December 27, 2024, to spend the year-end holidays there. The story gained traction when social media users resurfaced a video recorded in July in which the candidate denied ever using the banker's aircraft. "You will not see me traveling to London, the United States, Paris, every place you can think of. I have never set foot in a Vorcaro plane," he said, standing next to former district deputy Júlia Lucy.
The explanation and the dispute over the jet
In the same post, Bolsonaro joked about the later use of the aircraft by Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes, in August 2025. "Good thing the plane was Willer's back then. Imagine if it were now, I would have flown on Alexandre de Moraes's plane," he wrote. He gave the same account to the newspaper O Globo:
"Back then the plane was Willer's, I had zero contact with Vorcaro. It was a family trip, nothing more. The plane was his. I did not know about the company's stake (Prime You). To me, the plane was Willer's. Anything beyond that is a distortion of reality."
At the time of the trip, the jet, an Embraer Legacy 650 registered PP-NLR and built in 2012, was operated by Prime Aviation, a company linked to Vorcaro, under a ten-year lease with Fraction 024, owned by Marcus Vinícius da Mata, also described as close to the banker. The structure's quota holders included Prime You, a company in which Vorcaro was a partner, and Tomaz himself. In a statement, the lawyer denied any relationship with the banker. "Willer Tomaz does not know Daniel Vorcaro, has never met him and has never entered into any business with him of any nature," the note reads. It says the sale of a third party's quota to Prime You happened without Tomaz's consent and that when he learned of it, in April 2026, he reported the contract and took the dispute to court.
The Master Case and the election
According to g1, the federal police say the same aircraft was negotiated in May 2025 with the law firm of Viviane Barci, Moraes's wife, in a 50 million reais contract for legal services, and that the date of Bolsonaro's flight coincides with the period when Vorcaro was arranging transfers to finance Dark Horse, a biopic of former president Jair Bolsonaro. A transfer of 2 million dollars was scheduled for January 20, 2025. The newspaper Valor Econômico assesses that the episode puts the candidate back at the center of the Master Case ten days before the first round of the presidential election, set for October 4, and reports that President Lula's campaign intends to stress the ties between Bolsonaro and the former banker.
A report by the newspaper Estadão, which Correio Braziliense confirmed with federal police sources, shows that Bolsonaro tried to reach Vorcaro on WhatsApp in the four days before the banker's first arrest, on November 17, 2025, at Guarulhos airport, in São Paulo. The messages were recovered from Vorcaro's seized phone. "Brother, I am and will always be with you, there is no half conversation between us," Bolsonaro wrote on the eve of the arrest. The first round of the election is scheduled for October 4. Tomaz's lawsuit against Prime You remains pending, and the Master Case investigations continue at the federal police and the Supreme Court.
